Case Six

Project: To supply of a key intermediate for a phase II clinical molecule to a top US based Emerging Pharmaceutical (Biotech) Company.
Challenge: A key customer (by virtue of a multi-product relationship) approached Novodigm for a low value item to be manufactured, as its quality was crucial. While it is nice to be gaining the confidence of the customer that Novodigm is a quality conscious player, it was not possible to fit the product in-house due to its low value. This was clearly explained to the customer. Though the customer fully appreciated the concern, it wanted Novodigm to suggest a way out.

Solution: Both parties mutually agreed on finding a reliable outsourcing partner in India and to jointly audit the identified facility where the product would be manufactured. Novodigm took complete responsibility of the technology development, quality and matching timelines of delivery. The business has been going on for a few years now.

Result: Novodigm’s commitment and flexibility to accommodate the request generated tremendous good will. By providing a practical solution that worked for the client, Novodigm became a trusted confidante. On many occasions, Novodigm now plays the role of “Indian beach-head associate” for the customer.
