Case Three

Project: To supply of a key intermediate for a phase II clinical molecule to a top US based Emerging Pharmaceutical (Biotech) Company.
Challenge: The innovator company was looking for a reliable and commercially viable manufacturer for a key intermediate of one of their strategic new products. The existing route for the product had a potential problem on the supply of a key raw material. Hence, it was essential that the new route had to be a non-infringing route starting from a different class of raw materials.

Solution: A non-infringing synthetic route from an entirely different class of raw material was successfully developed and delivered as per schedule followed by immediate scale up to meet the launch plan. Currently the product is manufactured at tons level to meet the market demand. The whole process from sample development to commercial production was done within 6 months – a record of no mean scale.

Result: The customer was convinced that Novodigm is a company that can be trusted, even when the stakes are high. In addition, Novodigm established its credibility of being a serious CRAMS player in high quality research in niche areas such as optically active intermediates.
