Case Two

Challenge: Supply of the product was of core significance to the customer’s first to launch status and hence time was of essence. The work had to be carried out under utmost confidentiality and all specifications, analytical method development and validation had to be done in-house. In short, the challenge was to develop the API from end-to-end, all the way from route selection to supply of launch quantities in a short time of 10 months.

Solution: The total technology and process development including route selection was generated and implemented in-house. The synthesis being convergent, two groups of scientists worked on the project to save time as well as to maintain confidentiality. The material was provided along with all test methods way ahead of agreed timeline, thereby providing the customer an opportunity to enjoy the early-bird advantage in the market.

Result: The business relationship further expanded to a few more development projects, apart from being granted the exclusive supplier status.
